Synopsis: Widespread during the breeding season at scattered locations within agricultural areas. Local breeder along the coast. Most notable are the records from the Willamette Valley, and Klamath, Curry, and Coos Counties. Much more widespread than depicted by Csuti et al. (1997).

Relative Detectability: Fairly easy to spot and to confirm nesting, usually by noting fledglings accompanied by adults.

Challenge: Confirm additional breeding sites in Columbia Basin and Willamette Valley.
